Who we are
Hi, I’m Judy, the hands and heart behind Warm Hearted Crafts. You are about to step into the world of creativity.
I learned to sew at age 9 when I spotted a pink-gingham bedspread in the Sears catalog for $35 — a lot of money at that time. My mother bought the fabric for $0.50 a yard, and I made it myself. From there, I began sewing my own clothes and crafting stuffed animals, even selling a few to friends for fifty cents each!
When my son was born 45 years ago, I made my first quilt to fit his cradle — an appliquéd bunny with the body on the quilt and the head on the pillowcase. I’ve been quilting ever since.
Over the years, I’ve dabbled in Christmas ornaments, jewelry making, crochet, and embroidery (but I do not knit!) Now, as I launch Warm Hearted Crafts, I’m exploring new creative outlets like needle punching and rug making.
This business is not just about what I create — it’s about community. I hope to connect with fellow crafters, share stories, and celebrate the joy of handmade art.
